The screening process
1. Language & personality interview
A short conversation to assess your English communication, professionalism and motivation for joining the network.
2. In-depth technical screening
A deep assessment of your engineering knowledge and problem solving. You must publish 2–3 real projects in your portfolio.
3. Live interview with a senior expert
A practical live exercise so we can evaluate creativity, engineering judgement and real-world experience.
4. Trial project (up to 2 weeks)
Prove your competence on a real client project with a risk-free trial period for both sides.
5. Continued excellence
Members keep their place by maintaining quality, reliability and client satisfaction on every engagement.

Once accepted, complete your profile so clients and our matching advisors can find you.

Privacy note: the full portfolio — detailed write-ups, galleries and attached files — is visible only to admins and to a client already working with you on a project. The portfolio list itself stays public.
How pricing works
Hourly rate — the main model
Most engagements run hourly. You set your rate; clients see it on your public expert profile.
Monthly package — complementary
For long-running work, offer a monthly retainer with a predictable number of dedicated hours.
Fixed project — limited
Only for fully specified deliverables with a clear scope, such as a defined PCB revision or a firmware module.
Publish technical articles, get discovered
Every member can publish unlimited posts on the VoltLancer blog. Deep, scientific articles with one or two images rank in search and put your name in front of clients. Each post automatically ends with your photo, experience, education and skills.
